CARVING  MARKS

These are witness of how the rocks were shaped. The funny thing is that we
see them in Egypt, Inca sites, Aztec - and so far no one could figure out how
exactly it was done. First, the rough boulders have to be separated from the bedrock
or the mountain, then a fine shape was needed. It seems that one method was (both in
Coral Castle and other ancient sites all over the globe) to drill 3" - 6" dia. vertical holes,
approx. 2" - 3" from one another and then the rock could be separated.

In his photo "At Work", Ed show a device that can be a drill of some sort, though it
is not clear how it worked.
