there will be contraction that will cause earthquakes and mountains".
When it comes to Plate Tectonic theory, there is not much said
about gravity
instead it's about lateral motion that make the major changes in earth crust.
Another example of disconnection between branches of science.
Inside earth there are many forced, pushing pulling, shifting in all direction,
but
there is one that govern the others and accidently it is not made of expanding
matter, but "invisible gravity" from inside and outside earth.
